Daily Inspiraton: Armani Favorites!

A couple weeks back a girlfriend of mine, Miss Sarah, hosted a Master Class at the Giorgio Armani makeup counter in Saks! She actually won it a week earlier when a few of us were at a Fashion Show! She was so sweet that she invited both my sweet sissy and I and it was loads of fun!
.
Now, I am far from a 'Master' in anything - but when it comes to makeup, I consider myself to be basically at the bottom of the totem pole, when it comes to makeup knowledge. I'm pretty much a simple girl - so I actually learned a ton from this little 2 hour session!
.
During this class I picked up a few great things that I had to share with you all. . . First the perfect lip gloss - for everyday, work, or spicing it up a bit at night - Check this little gloss out - Armani Lip Shimmer #21 - its PERFECT!
.
.
Next check out my new secret weapon - Armani Master Corrector - its an under-eye brightener and it seriously works miracles! For the last two weeks I've had 4 people comment on how well rested I look and ask me if I'm wearing new makeup and then tell me how nice my eyes look! Geesh! If I could have known I'd be showered with compliments - I probably would have bought this a long time ago! HA!
.
.
Thanks for reading along. . .if you read to this point - leave a comment on your favorite beauty or skin secret weapon and you'll be entered to win a Giorgio Armani Eyelash Curler! and a couple other little Armani samples too! Leave a note and share your secrets - I know I could use them!
.
Happy Tuesday!

  2. I don't know much about make up either so this was very beneficial :) Actually, I was always taught less is more. Usually I just throw on some mascara so having that cute eyelash curler would be great: ) for beauty secrets, the only one I know (AND I HAVE NEVER TRIED) is when you have a face full of make up on, close your eyes and spritz on some hairspray) It supposively leaves your make up on longer and it keeps it to stay fresh!

    Have a good day! :)

  3. Ohh...I love trading beauty secrets! I have a couple that I couldn't live without, especially as the weather is getting nicer. If you need a quick trick for in-between pedis, cut a lemon in half, dip each half in some coarse sea salt and use it to slough off dead skin. The lemon halves are easy to hold and the lemon scent leaves your piggies smelling fresh (especially after wearing sandals or walking around barefoot in the summer).

Another one that I couldn't live without is using tea (or I've heard coffee works too) to help get rid of shampoo/product build up. I just brew a kettle of tea, let it cool and then rinse my hair with it, dry and style as usual. I do it every couple months, although you could probably do it more often if you'd like.

    Hope your readers enjoy!!

  4. I've given in to the fact that the fresh-faced look is going to require a little work as I approach 30 and my personal fave for skincare is Philosophy Microdelivery Multi-use Peel Pads. After washing, I wipe these on my face, neck & elbows - they leave my face looking totally fresh, like I had a facial the day before & help keep my elbows soft. Dewy skin, clear pores, that "awake" "young" look that women love! Since starting them a few times a week, I've gotten a lot of compliments about my skin!! My boss even said that I look like I've really taken great care of myself my whole life & it's showing in my skin! (if he only knew how much toxins my skin took in during the drinking games of college...) ~Thanks for sharing the Armani stuff, I need to check that out! -Kate

  5. My beauty secret is simple. To remove eye makeup use Vaseline. It is cheap and works very well! OR if you have chapped or cracked lips... use your toothbrush and massage the Vaseline on your lips and you should see an improvement quicker! (And of course toss the toothbrush!)
